There have been a few comments on CT about the "moving triangular cushion" problem on the rear bed of the 440/4 to which I have added a posting or two.
Whilst composing my most recent post it suddenly occurred to me that perhaps the triangular cushion goes on the wall side so the wall keeps it in.
It would certainly make more sense than what we have been doing.
Next time I go up to storage I will give it a try unless someone beats me to it who keeps the van at home.

Thats a non starter due to the shape of the cushion, it has to go on the outside edge. The rear upright cushion has the smaller angled end cushion attached to it by velcro? When the back rest is down on the table top when the bed is made up the velcro end is on the edge were the triangular cushion is. Have Bailey forgot to put a strip of velcro on that cushion that way it would (I think) stay in place. I am just waiting for a length of 2inch velcro to arrive and then the good lady will have ago at attaching it to the cushion.
ReplyDeleteAnon,
ReplyDeleteOh well bang goes that theory then.
Will appeal to Bailey for some Velcro.

Have Bailey ever actually put the bed together themselves or did it just look nice on the CAD screen?

Andy,
ReplyDeleteI don't know if they have put it together or not but they have certainly never tried to sleep on it.

Ian,
ReplyDeleteI have a solution to the 440-4 moving cushion problem. Works perfectly with no hassle. If anyone interested I can send pics.

Fred,
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the blog.
If you send me your posting and photo's in an e-mail I will post them as a topic and then it may get a bit more exposure.

For new readers, the solution to this problem is to move the forward seat cushion to the table and the 'triangular' (trapezoid) shaped cushion goes onto the forward seat, such that it held in by the seat side panel.
ReplyDeleteFill in the rest of the bed with other cushions as appropriate. The small back rest wedge goes in the bottom left hand corner.
No movement any more. Result!
