Chased up the dealers this morning as I hadn't heard anything about the new wheel bolts.
Evidently the factory are shut for summer holidays but they had heard a whisper that the new bolts would only be available for the single axle Unicorn.
We shall have to wait and see.

I've done over 600 miles in my 440 and, so far, the wheel bolts are fine.
ReplyDeleteColin,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on being the first to post a comment on my blog. There should be some sort of award but being a Yorkshireman I am far too tight for that.
Good to hear you have been OK with the standard bolts.Probably I am being too over cautious,as usual, and if the wheels hadn't had to come off for Tyron Bands and balancing then I probably wouldn't have bothered.
I just can't see, apart from the mass of the van, what is so different between the Unicorn and the Orion ( or any other Bailey van).I would have thought that just for safety's sake,as well as good PR they would have swapped all the bolts, perhaps not straight away but as vans come in for service.
