Bailey Pursuit

Got told by a dealer yesterday that the new lightweight Bailey will be called the Pursuit.

They should have been going to Bristol for a preview next week but it has been cancelled so the first they will see of it is at the NEC in October.

All seems very hush hush as no other details forthcoming.

  1. Hi Ian
Hoping to go to show on CC Day.our dealer was also going to preview,he says bailey are supposed to be unveilling something at show to blow other makes into shade. On another subject when on way from Clumber Park to Chatsworth last month called at weighbridge in a coal mine it showed we were 51kgs over weight!!! Have since invested in Reich weight control very good!

  2. John,

I have thought about a Weight Control but what put me off was a quoted error margin of I think +/- 3% which on our Orion is about 37Kg or so which is rather a lot.

When we weighed the van it was quite well loaded as we had not been home since 16th July "isnt retirement great" but we did not think we had that much in the van!.Ihave since used the Reich weight control in the storage since off loading the van it still has the normal travel bits in minus awning and clothes it shows 1064kgs so i think the weighbridge error margin was quite high, I do not think the awning"lightweight isabella" or OHs clothes weighed that much!! so ithink i will rely on reich in future even 3% is better

  4. Ian,
Wonder if the Pursuit will be the same shape, very interesting I've not plans to change Vans as the Orion suits us well, but.......
Must get tickets for the caravan show

  5. Dave,

When the Orion was launched it was described as the bees knees in terms of aerodynamic shape and fuel saving so yes it will be very interesting to see what they replace it with.

I tend to think it won't look anything like the Orion or they would have called it the Orion Mark 2 much like the Pegasus and Unicorn Marks 2.

It all seems very quiet though,I would have thought there would have been a few well planned "leaks" by now but perhaps that is reverse publicity so to speak.

The name Pursuit will mean Bailey have moved away from the naming of the c/van range after the Heavens.
