Orion Front Window.

There has been some discussion on CT regarding flexing on the front window of the Orion.

Orion Front Window - Caravan Talk

The upshot is that this can cause scratching/cloudiness between the panes,Bailey are evidently aware of this and will replace under warranty.

Not had any problems ourselves,so it may just be earlier models than ours, just had the repair of the right hand stay anchoring point although I agree that the stays for the front window appear to be made of cheese ( cream cheese at that ) and struggle to support such a heavy item.

  1. Have the Orion 400/2. Purchased new June 2011. Now waiting for the 2nd replacement for this problem. Told that the air pressure causes the panes to touch each other while being towed.

  2. Tony,

    Welcome to BOB.

Strange, until this recent post on CT no one has ever mentioned this problem to my knowledge.

Oddly it doesn't appear to affect all Orions, ours is OK ( please let it stay like that !! ).

As you are waiting for your second replacement obviously the problem has not been solved.

  3. Yes ,Still waiting it takes about 6 weeks from the dealer ordering the replacement. One good thing is the replacement is guaranteed for 3 years from the date fitted. So if it goes again should be ok for 3rd replacement Tony

Talking about Faults/Mods have done the heater mod seems to be better, the instructions and parts sent by Whale helped but Bailey had given them some duff info, it worked out after bit of thought and a trip to B&Q

  10. Paul,
If I remember correctly John had a problem whereby no heat was getting to the front of his van.I think he mentioned it to Whale at a show who examined the van and it wasn't connected up properly.
All is working OK now I believe.
